Specific focus on controls related to regulatory compliance and safety and soundness in the Collections function of GE Capital Retail Bank.Essential Responsibilities Interface with GE Capital Retail Bank Collections process owners to ensure policies and procedures are appropriately documented and compliant with regulatory requirements.Work with process owners to identify processes, assemble/maintain process maps, and identify risks and controls.Work with process owners, consultants and bank regulators to identify gaps in the current processes and internal controls.Utilize CAP (change acceleration process) tools and personal network to influence stakeholders and related affiliates to implement necessary process modifications to meet regulatory needs.Act as tollgate examining existing baseline processes, approving new proposed processes and/or changes to existing processes.Provide interpretation and guidance to process owners regarding key risks, key controls, bank policy and proposed process changes.Develop and prescribe regularly scheduled Internal Control Testing and Monitoring on the controls to ensure that key risks are mitigated for the Bank.Interpret and publish Internal Control Testing and Monitoring results to leaders in the Bank and Businesses.Review results of Internal Control Testing and Monitoring with stakeholders and discuss viable solutions to close gaps.Track any corrective action plans that come from the Internal Control Testing and Monitoring, and production defects.Qualifications/RequirementsBasic Qualifications:• Bachelors degree in business, finance, or accounting, plus 3+ years work experience in financial services industry; or 2) in lieu of Bachelor Degree, a High School Diploma / GED and 6+ years in consumer finance or banking industries• 3+ years of experience in internal control or internal audit• Working experience in Collections, including credit card collections and loan collections• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications Eligibility Requirements : MUST be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
