Associate - Operations And Services Group (10)

Details: This is an entry-level temporary/contractor position targeted specifically for a College Graduates for an  Associate Program in the Operations and Services Group. The purpose of this program is to train and identify talent.  Upon completion of the program, opportunities for a full-time regular position may be available.   Fidelity Operations & Services Group (OSG) provides superior customer service to Fidelity's businesses through innovation, dedication and commitment to excellence. With seven operating divisions located throughout the country, OSG provides securities execution, clearance, publishing, fulfillment, scanning and information and risk management services to retail, institutional, and correspondent clients. OSG performs tens of thousands of over-the-counter, listed equities, options, bonds, and mutual fund transactions daily.  Positions may be availble in one of the groups listed below but also are not limited to the following.   As an Associate you will have the opportunity to work in one or more of these divisions; Global Settlements, Asset Servicing, Strategic Planning & Project Mgmt , Risk Management or Margin & Money Movement.   The Asset Servicing Department facilitates transfers into and out of Fidelity for PWI, IWS and NF. The division also provides specialized functions devoted to follow-up and problem resolution. The Asset Servicing Division consists of Custody, Corporate Actions, Asset Transfer, Restricted Stock Services, Tax Services, Mutual Fund Reconciliations and Alternative Investments. The Domestic Settlement Group is responsible for the timely settlement of transactions of DTCC/Government eligible securities and for Institutional accounts in accordance with FINRA, NASD, NYSE and SEC rules. The Settlement  Department also supports DWAC processing, Fail Management, and Buy-in activity, and communicates directly with both internal partners and external business groups to resolve discrepancies. They support the FCMS, NFS, IWS, FFOS, and PWI lines of businesses. The International Settlement Group is responsible for various functions relating to clearance and settlement of foreign equity and fixed income products. The group has dedicated processing, client service and exception management personnel for support of those functions. Those include Trade Matching and Fail Management, commission reporting, XTRAC and ECT inquiry resolution,  Custodian Account funding, ADR conversions and billing. This group also manages exceptions between our books and records, and those of our foreign custodian banks. The Account Management and TOA Division is responsible for opening new accounts, as well as processing maintenance and feature requests on accounts. This includes the oversight of these functions for all channels of work, including electronic through Fidelity.com, Advisor Channel.com and streetscape.com through ECT, Fidelity branches, fax and USPS mail. They support each of these processes for the PWI, IWS, NF and FFOS lines of business. It includes facilitating transfers into and out of Fidelity for PWI, IWS and NF.  The operation is responsible for initiating TOA requests, working with delivering firms to expedite delivery, delivering assets out to receiving firms, and facilitating the transfer of retirement assets from employer sponsored plans into PWI IRA accounts. The Money Movement Division encompasses the Margin and Cashiering Departments.  The Margin Department is responsible for reviewing, issuing and resolving a wide range of trade and non-trade related exceptions.  These include ensuring the timely settlement of trades, margin calls, trading violations, extensions and non-trade delinquencies.  The Cashiering Department is responsible for all retirement and non-retirement Distributions, Journals and Transfers for the following Fidelity business lines (PWI, IWS, NF).  In addition, a centralized team is dedicated to Cash Management-related Product Development and Money Movement Applications. The Business Reporting and Analytics team assists OSG and its business partners with reporting and business analysis needs. The primary responsibility is to provide OSG with the data, tools and reporting needed to effectively and efficiently manage operations. The Business Improvement (BPI) team empowers the business with the tools necessary to change the culture to one that fully embraces continuous improvement and Lean thinking. The team ensures a standard and uniform approach to dramatically impact the client experience and associate engagement in order to drive and achieve improvements in cycle time, quality and risks.    Core Services Trade Processing, Clearance and Settlement for Equity, Fixed Income, International and Mutual Funds products and services  Institutional Operations, including Restricted Stock Services, Conversions, Integration, New Business and Enhanced Products Money movement, Banking Products, Cashiering Tax Services, Margin, Security Master and Pricing  Customer Processing including New Accounts, Transfers, Customer Resolution Technology Planning and Coordination, New Business & Project Management, Strategic Planning  Publishing, fulfillment, regulatory mail, scanning and transaction processing to Fidelity businesses in support of customer correspondence needs Customer Processing, including New Accounts, Transfers, Customer Resolution
