Financial Data Entry Associate

Details: The Sioux Falls, SD office for CNA Surety has an immediate opening for a Financial Data Entry Associate. This is a full-time position Monday through Friday from 8:15 am to 4:30 pm. We are seeking an individual who has strong data entry skills and the ability to pull information from financial reports. Role involves performing accurate and timely input of financial data into a Web-based application. Individual must have strong math skills and the ability to interact at a high level with internal customers. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:1. Retrieves and comprehends electronic financial statements and work-in-progress (WIP) schedules from our Image/Workflow system and inputs statement/schedule data into Underwriting Tools.2. Works closely with field underwriting to ensure data has been received and input within specified performance parameters.3. Communicates frequently in a professional manner with internal customers in field offices via telephone or written correspondence as required.4. Understands and be proficient in the use of PC applications including Image/Workflow, Business Intelligence and MS Office.5. May participate in training programs to ensure adequate training and cross training of team members. May also assist in the development, documentation, and implementation of training programs. May perform additional duties as assigned. Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: 1. Ability to read and interpret construction company financial data preferred. 2. Reading comprehension, accurate math and spelling skills, as well as the ability to work with minimum supervision. 3. Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication, listening, problem-solving abilities, organizational and time management skills are necessary. 4. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite as well as other business-related software.5. 10-key proficiency preferred. Education & Experience:1. High school diploma or equivalent.2. Two to four years of experience in a professional office environment. 3. Background in Finance or Accounting with exposure to interpreting financial statements required.
